02 / IPR PROGRAM
IPR Training & Faculty Development Programs for Colleges and Universities
IPR training teaches faculty, researchers and students how intellectual property rights such as patents, copyrights, trademarks and designs work and how to protect and use them. LYI runs IPR workshops and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) for colleges and universities. Colleges and universities produce research, software, designs and creative work every year. Without IP awareness, valuable ideas are published too early, left unprotected or never commercialised. Our programs give faculty and students clear, practical knowledge. They learn what can be protected, how to search and file, how to avoid infringement and how to turn research into real-world impact.
Program options
- 01Faculty Development Programs (FDPs): Multi-day programs covering IPR basics, patent drafting, searching, filing and research commercialisation.
- 02Student workshops: Short sessions on IP awareness, idea protection and avoiding plagiarism and infringement.
- 03Patent search and drafting labs: Hands-on practice with patent databases and application writing.
- 04Institutional IP policy support: Help to create or improve a university IP policy and invention disclosure process.
- 05Technology transfer and startup sessions: Learn licensing, incubation and IP for student startups.
- 06Certificates: Participation certificates for attendees.
